The Ghost Collection
Low and Bonar produces a non-woven fabric by reusing recycled PET material. Thereby plastic matter revolves into a different shape. For the in4nite project Charley Reijnders focused on the production process of the Colback material and found that this process could be compared with the process of revolving. This translucent qualities of the material and the revolving process got her thinking of ghosts.
As ghosts - in some way - are revolved people. One could say that when we become ghosts, our souls are being recycled to a new form of matter. Charley tried to use this process as a method for designing a new product, resulting in The Ghost Collection. In the collection the Colback material appears to be revolved from itself into a new product, again.
